Plan your trip
Mallorca
Holidays are the perfect time to clear your head from routine and enjoy some quality time with your partner. Whether you are looking for fun or to relax, Mallorca can be an excellent choice. it does not only have beautiful beaches and secret coves, but it also has a great range of activities for two. In case your mind is blank of ideas, we are going to suggest you few plans that will delight your significant other.
If you enjoy the warm sand and cold dips in the sea, Mallorca is your island. Some of our favourite ones are:
And you cannot miss Cala Deià, Sa Calobra, Es Trenc, Son Serra Marina, Can Picafort, Valldemossa cove, Formentor, Banyalbufar… There are 261 wonderful beaches, you will find one to fall in love with!
Rather than going to the beach, you are more of a country holiday houses or charming hotel kind of person? Mallorca has also a spot for you. You can plan your getaway to one of the most charming towns in Mallorca and look for a cute place to stay on the area. For instance, if you go to Sóller you can start at Hotel Salvia, that doesn’t accept kids. It is placed in the old town, on a restored 19th century Merchants House dressed in gardens, a pool and rooms with WiFi and mountain views. But there are also brilliant country houses in different villages, like the rural Son Lladó, or the Can Feliu house, the country house of Na Clavet…
For the wine connoisseurs, a tour around the different cellars and vineyards placed in Mallorca can be delightful. In Mallorca Wine Tours you will find a wide range of suggestions for any budget. Around 70 cellars are sprinkled all around the island. The most famous route is the one that visits the towns of Binissalem’s designation of origin, right at the core of the island: Santa María del Camí, Binissalem, Sencelles, Consell and Santa Eugènia. Plus, you can create your own route by arranging the dates with the cellars you are most interested in out of the fourteen ones that there are nearby.
We’ve already mentioned once or twice that Sant Elm, west of the island, has a beautiful route with amazing Sa Dragonera views, that can finish with a visit to said islet. This is one of our favourites, but it is not the only one that you can enjoy: Placed North in the island, Sierra de Tramuntana is a true paradise for hikers. For a taste you can try the easy route that will take you to the S’Avec de Son Pou’s cave, less than two hours long and with a beautiful waterfall on the way.
You can also leave your car in the parking lot at Cala Portals Vells and explore the coast of Mallorca, admiring its lighthouses, or take a walk in the La Massanella mountains. Please ensure you have sturdy footwear, as the trail is rocky.
Although maybe it’s not the most romantic plan (well, you can always see how the sun sets on a balloon) or the most adventurous one, visiting the capital and being infused with its history and culture is a must if you are going to Mallorca. And besides, can it be any more romantic than enjoying a walk holding hands?
Visiting the Gothic cathedral, hiking up the hill to visit the castle of Bellver, a tour around the inner patios of the Mallorquinian mansions like Casal Solleric or Casal Balaguer, and of course: having some ice-cream and an ensaimada at the famous cafeteria Ca’n Joan de S’Aigo, a traditional spot that has been there for over 300 years. All of these are things you must share with your better half when visiting Palma.
We hope you have enjoyed our recommendations and we have helped to improve your stay in Mallorca. Remember that you will be able to find our shuttle easily at the Mallorca airport to pick up your favourite car and enjoy your visit with complete freedom and peace of mind.
