You’re wrapping up your trip, you've rented a car from the airport, and now you’re wondering how to return it easily and hassle-free.
We want your experience to be smoother, faster, and more transparent. That’s why we’ve prepared this handy guide so you know exactly what to do—and what to avoid—when returning your car.
The return process will vary depending on the rate you've selected. Whether you booked our All Inclusive rate or are using our Wikey Smart Box or Wikey Smart Car systems, here’s everything you need to know for a smooth return.
📌 Before returning your car: what you should check
To make the process quick and problem-free, make sure you:
1. Fill up the fuel tank.
We operate under a full-to-full fuel policy. That means return the car with the same level of fuel it had when you picked it up to avoid extra fees.
2. Check for personal belongings.
Do a quick check of the cabin, trunk, doors, and compartments. Don’t leave your sunglasses or phone behind! If something is forgotten, we keep a digital log of lost items to help you recover them. Just contact us and we’ll help you with the return.
3. Arrive early, especially during high season.
We recommend arriving at the return point at least 20–30 minutes early—especially in peak season. That way, you avoid rushing and have time for any delays. Remember we’ll take you to the airport with our free shuttle. If you're traveling with a group, we suggest only a couple of people go to return the car first to make shuttle boarding faster.
Where do I return my Wiber rental car?
Depending on your booking type, the return process may be even faster and more convenient.
If you booked the All Inclusive rate: return easily at our offices
The return is faster than with the Full-Full rate, since it includes full coverage.
- Drive the car to the Wiber return area (clearly marked).
- One of our team members will collect the keys and close the contract.
If everything is in order, we’ll give you the green light right away.
If you booked the Full-Full rate: return at our offices (with extra steps)
Follow the same steps as above, but with a few added checks.
- Drive the car to the Wiber return area.
- A team member will collect the keys.
- The vehicle condition and mileage will be checked.
- If everything’s fine, the contract will be closed.
What about the deposit?
With the Full-Full rate, your booking includes a security deposit. If the car is returned in good condition and with the correct fuel level, we’ll refund the deposit automatically.
Refund times may vary by bank, but usually take 3–10 business days.
What if there’s damage?
At Wiber, we believe in full transparency. If any unreported damage is found, we’ll carry out a detailed inspection and email you the report.
Remember: if you booked the All Inclusive rate, you’re fully covered! No surprises, no excess, and 24/7 assistance included.
If you booked SmartCar: express return with no office visit
- Park the car in the same spot and level where you picked it up in the airport parking, following our instructions.
- Make sure the fuel tank is full.
- Access the return link on your phone.
- Follow the steps to end the contract and lock the car from your mobile.
That’s it. No queues, no waiting, no counter.

Final tips for a stress-free return

Wiber TIP: Want to return your car at night, outside office hours? Here's what to know
In general, all vehicles must be picked up and returned during office hours, which are:
- Mallorca, Málaga, Alicante, and Ibiza: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Valencia and Seville: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
However, we know some flights operate outside those times, so we offer solutions 👇
24-hour return: only with Smart Car rate
If you need to return the car outside office hours, you can only do so with the Smart Car rate, available at these offices: Málaga, Mallorca, Alicante, Valencia, and Sevilla Santa Justa.
Other rates and their out-of-hours return policies:
- Full-Full rate: out-of-hours return is not allowed under any circumstances.
- All Inclusive rate: out-of-hours return is only available in Alicante and Valencia. Not possible in Mallorca, Ibiza, Málaga, or Seville.
🚫 Remember: leaving the car outside office hours without following the correct procedure is considered vehicle abandonment and may result in penalties.
