1. Can I rent a car as a new driver? Yes, you can.

The short answer is yes, you can rent a car as a new driver with Wiber if you are at least 21 years old, have held your driving license for at least one year, and are willing to pay a small young driver surcharge.

But keep reading, as there are some exceptions, and it's always best to be well informed.

2. What is the young driver surcharge?

If you're between 21 and 24 years old, you must pay a daily surcharge of €9/day, with a maximum of €95 per rental.

If you’re an additional driver and also a new driver, you’ll have to pay both the young driver surcharge and the additional driver fee, which is also €9.00/day per rental and per driver, with a maximum of €95 per rental.

3. What cars can I rent as a new driver?

Most vehicles in our fleet are available to you, as long as you meet the above requirements. However, there are some exceptions:

🚫 For vehicles in groups E5 and C7, the minimum age required is 25 years old.

What are the E5 and C7 groups?

These are higher-category vehicles that, due to their size, power, or class, require more driving experience.

Although group allocation may vary slightly depending on availability and location, in general:

• Group E5: High-end automatic SUVs, such as Peugeot 3008 Automatic, Volkswagen T-Roc, or Toyota C-HR Hybrid.

• Group C7: Typically large family or 7-seater vehicles, such as Citroën Grand C4, Ford Galaxy, or Renault Grand Scenic.

If you're between 21 and 24 years old, you can choose from compact cars, city cars, or small family vehicles—perfect for city driving, coastal exploring, or road trips across Spain.

4. What documents do I need?

To rent a car as a new driver with Wiber, you’ll need:

• A valid driving license with at least 12 months of validity

• An ID document (DNI or passport)

• A credit or debit card for payment
